What are the two States? Out of Wu Ji (nothingness) comes two primary energies called Yin and Yang. These two energies are also known as Two States.

Give examples of Yin and Yang. North is Yin while South is Yang. Cold is Yin while hot is Yang. Still, depressed and round is Yin while motion, aggressive and angular is Yang.

What is Wu Xing or the Five Elements? Wu Xing means Five Movement or Five Transformation. It refers to the five forms of energy or qi that has properties similar to the elements of metal, wood, water, fire and earth. For this reason it is also know that the Five Elements.

Can plants be classified into Yin and Yang? Yes. Small plants are Yin while larger trees are Yang. Those with larger rounded leaves are Yin while those with shape narrow leaves are Yang.

What are the characteristics of the element wood? The energy of wood is growing and moving. It is also to do with growth and opportunities.

What is Sheng Qi? Sheng Qi is living qi and is highly favorable to our well being.

What occupants or business belong to the metal element? It would include any metal related industry (e.g. metal-working), mechanical engineering works and vehicles.

What are the characteristics of the element earth? The energy of earth is stability. It is also do to with support.

What are the characteristics of the Qian Gua? The Qian Gua symbolizes Heaven. It also symbolizes the creative that is ever moving. It is also the father and is associated with the direction NW. Its element is metal and is associated with the color white (or gold and silver) and the season of late autumn and early winter.

What are the names of the 8 or Ba Gua? They are Qian meaning heaven, Dui meaning lake, Li meaning fire, Zhen meaning thunder, Xun meaning wind, Kan meaning water, Gen meaning mountain and Kun meaning earth.
