China's Exports Of Agricultural Machinery Had A Sharp Rise In 2010

With the recovery of the world economic, China's agricultural machinery export business quietly wet out of the low ebb in 2010 and showed a strong rebound in the good momentum of development. In 2010, in the environment that the world financial crisis has not dissipated, China's major agricultural machinery exports grew fast. Most agricultural commodity exports increased double digits. Statistics show that the export value of China's total agricultural machinery achieved 21.19 billion yuan, an increase of 23.08%.

In the past year, China's delivery value of the agricultural machinery export showed the characteristics of steady growth. In addition to the modest growth of 5.1% in October, the rest months of the year have maintained a double-digit growth. The highest increase is nearly 30%.

China's export value of the agricultural machinery has maintained strong growth momentum since 2003. It has maintained a double-digit growth for six consecutive years. In 2005, the highest increase was 143.6%. In 2009, affected by the worldwide financial crisis, there's a slight 9.7% decline. In 2010, it has resumed growth. By the November of 2010, it increased by 25.4%.

The value growth of the agricultural machinery export, on the one hand it shows that the export support policies promulgated by the state play an important role for China's agricultural exports and create a favorable domestic environment. On the other hand, it shows that China's agricultural machinery export enterprises will continuously explore new ways, increase great efforts to open up foreign markets and the international competitiveness is improved.

Analyzing from the category of China's major agricultural machinery exports, there was a substantial growth of both export volume and amount of the tractors, wheeled tractors, combine-harvesters. Customs statistics show that in 2010 these three products were exported 114, 600, 32,000 and 11600 units, an increase of 38.2%, 36.3% and 23.5% respectively. In contrast, sowing, planting and transplanting machine s have a slight decline. Their annual export volume and amount were 84900 units and $ 17.894 million, a decrease of 31.8% and 8.5%.

China's exports of combines and tractors are mainly in Asia. And this trend is further strengthened. Statistics show that in 2010, the s exports of these two products to Asia accounted for 93.8% and 88.8% respectively, an increase of 6.3 percentage points and 3.1 percentage points compared with the same period of 2009. China's wheel tractor export markets are mainly in Asia, Africa and Europe, accounting for respectively 26.6%, 19.5% and 41.0%.
