Chicagoland Chevy Dealership Likes Multiple Tweaks On 2012 Corvette

By:

The iconic sports car we have come to love is undergoing a few changes, but you will still recognize it, red or not, when it arrives at your Chicagoland Chevy dealership. Many of the changes are about drive control rather than cosmetic.
Though the new Corvette wont be produced until July, it was previewed at an event recently at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Buyers of Itasca used cars will appreciate the specific tweaks this classic has received.
"We constantly strive to make the Corvette a better car on the road and the track," Tadge Juechter, Corvette vehicle line director and chief engineer, explained. "For 2012, the Corvette lineup achieves its highest performance level ever, while at the same time being easier to drive and enjoy thanks to several changes and new features inside the car."
Many of the changes General Motors has made to the Corvette will be felt, but not seen, like the suspension. The Corvette Z06 will come with the option of Magnetic Selective Ride Control which Corvette engineers developed years ago. The Brembo carbon ceramic brakes will remain part of the Z07 chassis package and will still be standard on the ZR1 model, as will the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.
Customers of the Chicagoland Chevy dealership will like the new track tires that are an option on the 2012 Corvette. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure tires can be had with the Z06 and the ZR1. With the amazing horsepower - 505 in the Z06 and 638 in the ZR1, these tires will just enhance the experience.
A carbon fiber hood will be an option as well and add to the fast ride the Corvette is known for providing. The new spoiler, a full-width racing style, will also aid with aerodynamics and comes with the PDE and Z07 packages for 2012.
Your dealer of Itasca used cars likes the new seats Chevy has designed for the 2012 Corvette. With larger back and cushion bolsters, the ride will be more comfortable and drivers will be much better supported. Microfiber suede seat inserts can be ordered and add some extra support.
Continuing with the padding and comfort, the center console and armrests add a cushy touch for 2012 with contrasting color stitching in red, yellow and blue. This comes with the custom, leather-wrapped interior. Of course, the steering wheel has been updated as well with badges signifying each specific model.
Tech lovers wont be disappointed in the 2012 Corvette either. A technology package is available on more models than previously offered and includes Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity, navigation radio, USB port, a head-up display and a Bose premium audio system.
Speaking of the audio system, this Bose beauty has nine speakers and better audio quality than the 2011 model. It has been customized to the acoustics of the Corvette cabin and new tweeters in the instrument panel will help music lovers hear the difference.
