Chicago Mercedes Dealers Think The E-class Cabriolet Will Be Worth The Wait

I remember my first ride in a convertible. I was twelve and my friends dad was taking us to our first Bulls game. As we raced down I-90 with the top down, I could feel the wind whipping through my hair, hear the sound of the air blowing next to my ears, smell summer in the air and taste its lemony afterglow. Even though I hadnt learned to drive yet, I vowed that I would take on the newness of the driving experience behind the wheel of a sporty convertible. Four years later, I wasnt taking my drivers test in a convertible, but I closed my eyes and imagined myself behind the wheel of one before I fired up the engine of my parents Chevy suburban and got down to business.

Fifteen years later, Im still just as in love with the convertible as I was in my childhood. Ive been able to purchase a few used convertibles during my time as a driver and car owner, and Ive loved them all. But I cant recapture that feeling of pure delight I felt as a child that moment where adulthood comes to you in a flurry of excitement, welling up in your throat with an acidic flavor. Still, it hasnt stopped me from enjoying my driving experience behind the wheel of some excellent vehicles, and I was just hit with an announcement thatll have me checking into my first Chicago Mercedes dealership in the coming months.

Pretty soon, Chicago Mercedes E-Class dealers will begin to feature the Mercedes-Benz E-class Cabriolet, a cloth-top version of the E-class coupe that will become the first E-class convertible since the 1990s. Its been awhile because a lot of E-class fans have more refined tastes and dont enjoy the freedom that comes with the wind in your hair. Im not getting any younger either, so as my tastes refine, Ive been looking for a slightly more mature ride myself for my Chicago Mercedes endeavors. The Cabriolet gets it done by offering a particularly high level of sound insulation for one of the quietest interiors in its class with the top down. Chicago certified Mercedes fans can rest assured that the luxury they associate with these vehicles is intact.

Another innovation on the part of Mercedes is the available AirCap system, which creates a flow of calm, warm air for occupants, even as the wind rushes by, the cars pass and the muffled sounds of the night leak in. It accomplishes the effect by using small wind deflectors that rise above the windshield and behind the back seats. Even if youre flying down the road at 100 miles per hour, the system accomplishes what it sets out to do, giving Chicago Mercedes E-Class dealers a bump ahead of other convertible dealers. And boy is the Cabriolet powerful. The E550s engine cranks out a lovely 382 horsepower, while E350 only slightly lowers the ride to 268 horsepower. Chicago certified Mercedes fans are going to love the new peaceful, fun, stylish and powerful ride theyll get with the Cabriolet.
