Chelation, A Secret Weapon For A

Chelation, A Secret Weapon For A

Are you searching for a "diabetes cure"?

Despite spending 12 billion dollars per year in research to find that elusive "diabetes cure", we have not seen it yet.

But according to Dr. Patrick Quillin: "Diabetes is one of the more prevalent, lethal, expensive, and easily reversed conditions in America."

Among all of that negativity did you catch the positive? He said "easily reversed". There is hope.

Dr. Quillin's credentials include a PhD in nutrition, a large experience of working clinically with patients and doctors and a big dose of common sense and practicality when it comes to dealing with disease processes. His book, The Diabetes Improvement Program has the subtitle, "A Doctor's Handbook for Using Foods and Supplements to Slow and Reverse the Complications of Diabetes."

To this excellent information on nutrition for aiding the "diabetes cure", I would add another modality that gives great hope for "easily reversing" the ravages of this degenerative disease.

This modality at one time required a diabetic to sit for 3 hours in a doctor's office hooked up to an IV several times a week for a minimum of 30 such treatments. Although time consuming and expensive, it provided such good results that all the effort and expense was well worth it.

You may have already guessed that I'm referring to chelation therapy, an intravenous infusion of EDTA that grabs toxic metals and dumps them out through the kidneys, liver and bowel. I administered thousands of these treatments to very grateful patients during my years of practice in holistic, alternative, integrative medicine. Some of them told me, "You saved my life", wonderful words of encouragement to a physician.

My memory holds a special place for two particular diabetic patients. They both had such severe diabetic ulcers on their feet that gangrene complications could have necessitated amputation of the leg. At different times these two men came to my office requesting chelation therapy.

After the allotted amount of IV treatments, both of them had complete healing of their ulcers, a miracle from God. They left my office still walking on two legs instead of one leg and one prosthesis.

And the story gets even better. About 3-4 months later one of them called to talk to my receptionist about something and added, "By the way, my eye sight improved so much after the chelation treatments that I was able to get my driver's license back." Another miracle from God.

The effectiveness of this treatment relates to getting rid of the toxic metals that poison the cells. We are all exposed to common environmental pollutants that accumulate in our tissues from years of exposure.

With the greatest burden of toxic metals removed, the cells can heal. As the cell membrane and the gatekeepers at the cell membrane function normally again, nutrients and glucose can slide easily into the cell with the help of insulin. The happy little well nourished cell now sends out those satisfaction signals that allow the blood sugar and blood insulin levels to stabilize.

As cells heal so do tissues and body systems including the blood vessels which are commonly hardened and narrowed in diabetics. Now blood can once again flow normally to the extremities, to the eyes and to all other body tissues. With normal blood flow the risk of blindness or visual disability diminishes in diabetics. And the very real threat of amputation goes away.

In my years of treating patients in the emergency room as an ER doctor, the thing I hated most was someone coming in with an amputated finger or thumb or heaven forbid and arm or leg. That's one reason my blood boils when I hear of someone having a limb amputated for diabetes when they've never been told about chelation. Shouldn't we "first do no harm" and save body parts?

Now there's a great new source of hope for individuals persistent and committed to taking responsibility for their own health and especially for finding their own "diabetes cure".

This very effective form of chelation therapy with EDTA can be administered easily in the home and does not require a doctor to administer it. And there are even more advantages to in home chelation therapy. It's much less expensive, safer, and only takes about 2 minutes to administer every other day.

Although we cannot say that chelation actually cures diabetes, it certainly helps reverse and/or prevent the ravages of this disease in my experience.
