Cheap Steam Mop Options

Looking for a cheap steam mop? If you don't have a lot to spend on a steam mop, here are two budget friendly options that you should look into. Both of these mops cost quite a bit less than many of the popular models on the market, making them good alternatives for those who don't have a lot to spend.

The first cheap steam mop we will take a look at is the Steamfast SF140 Steam Mop. The Steamfast has a telescopic handle so you can adjust it to your personal needs. It also swivels so you will have an easier time getting at the spots you need to. It's fairly lightweight at just 7 lbs. It has a 19 foot power cord which is a fairly decent length as far as steam mop cords go.

The Steamfast Steam Mop comes with two micro fiber mop pads. The mop pads are easy to attach to the unit since they velcro on. A resting pad is also included as is a fill cup. The steam mop provides continuous steam when on. No pumping a trigger endlessly to make the steam come out! However it is only 1000 watts so you can expect about a three minute heat up time before the unit is ready to use.

One thing to note about the Steamfast Steam Mop is that it does have a fairly small water reservoir as far as steam mops go. It only holds about eight ounces of water at a time so you may find yourself having to frequently stop and refill it. With a three minute heat up time, this can really stretch out your mopping time.

The next cheap steam mop we will look at is the Dirt Devil Steam Mop. This one actually has an impressive list of features for such an inexpensive steam mop. The Dirt Devil Steam Mop has a low profile mop head that is a triangular shape. This shape is actually ideal for getting into corners and other small spaces. At 1500 watts, it is more powerful than the Steamfast Steam Mop and can heat up in under a minute.

But what is most impressive about the Dirt Devil Steam Mop is the accessories is comes with. Besides two micro fiber mop pads for steam mopping, it also comes with a dusting pad, and a carpet glide attachment. The carpet glide attachment allows you to sanitize rugs and carpets. The Dirt Devil also comes with a fill cup and filter and has an 18 foot power cord.

Both of these steam mops are decent options if you don't have a lot to spend on a steam mop!
