Cheap Classic Cigarettes vs Menthol Cigarettes

The use of menthol which is a chemical compound obtained either from a natural extract or a synthetic compound in cigarettes, came into picture only from the year 1924. But the normal tobacco used as fillers is something which was used by people from a very long time.

The menthol in the cigarettes gives a sense of coolness when you smoke. It also gives a very good taste as against the classic brands which give a burning taste when used. Cheap Menthol cigarettes were actually introduced only as a part of the marketing strategy, which slowly gained its importance, whereas classic brands entered the market without any strategy as such.

Studies prove that people who smoke menthol cigarettes are inclined to smoke more as menthol makes them feel cool with each drag, which induces the smoker to smoke more and more in order to satisfy himself. This is not the case when you use the classic cigarettes. Menthol cigarettes are said to be less harmful when compared to the classic cigarettes. Even the prices of the menthol cigarettes are relatively cheaper than the classic cheap cigarettes. When you buy them online you can get them at a discounted price. Though you get the classic cigarettes online, you will not get them for the price of menthol cigarettes. The use of menthol cigarettes in some places is just because the people of the community prefer them. But classic cigarettes are used worldwide.

Almost 79% of the African Americans prefer menthol cigarettes. And only 11% prefer the classic brands. When you smoke menthol cigarettes, the smoker takes fewer puffs because of the cool and mellowed down taste. But the classic cigarettes demand more puffs due to the burning taste. The marketing and advertisement for the menthol cigarettes is rigorous when compared to the classic cigarettes. Many of the menthol cigarettes are available online, which are tax and duty free. But the choice for tax and duty free classic cigarettes are minimal. People who use menthol cigarettes get addicted quickly. But by using classic cigarettes one does not get addicted very fast.

Recovering from the addiction of menthol cigarettes is harder than recovering from the addiction of classic cigarettes. The mint flavor in menthol cigarettes pushes a smoker to smoke more number of cigarettes. This does not happen in the case of people who use classic cigarettes. Menthol cigarettes are more long lasting than the classic cigarettes when the money spent on them is the same.

Overall, when you see the differences between the classic and the menthol cigarettes, there are not too many to mention. But the property in menthol which gives a mellow taste and a cool sensation to the smoker has made it very popular today. Menthol cigarettes are highly preferred by people all across the world. Some of the most popular brands of menthol cigarettes are the cheap Marlboro cigarettes and Virginia slims, Camel, Salem and Winston. All these brands of menthol cigarettes have their variety of classic cigarettes too.
