Changes In The Uk Working Holiday Visa

By:

Most of you probably havent heard a lot of information about the Tier 5 Youth Mobility Program, but you are probably aware of the Working Holiday Visa. The former was the traditional way young adults from Australia, Canada, and New Zealand gained entry into the UK. They were allowed to work for a certain amount of time, helping them gain valuable working experience in a new and exciting place.

However, the Working Holiday Visa has been transformed into the Tier 5 program, which many consider a lot more lenient than the previous program. Before, this visa limited the amount of time a person could work in the UK. Now, you can live and work here for one to two years. The main requirement is being between the ages of 18 and 30 and there cant be any dependents coming with you. The other things considered is someone cant already have applied for the Tier 5 Youth Scheme or already been in the United Kingdom.

If you want to be eligible for the visa program, you need at least 1,600 GBP in your bank account and in your name. However, there is no need to set up a job beforehand. You will be allowed to freely travel and work at the times you need money.

You wont necessarily be accepted into this program, even if you have all of the right credentials. The British High Commission expects applications to be filled out correctly and fully. They could reject it just because you put down incorrect information or left out something important. This is why so many people hire a visa agency, as they will review all of the data and help you with the biometric scan. Many times the former Working Holiday Visa will be processed in up to three weeks.
