Chaat And Momos At Delhi Chilli | Goa

By:

What you see As you pass via Sangolda in North Goa, you will notice a Goan house on your left, almost like a basement. This house, converted into a restaurant, is Delhi Chilli.

The ambience in this restaurant gives you the feel of being in a dhaba embellished with simple yet creative dcor. A small flight of stairs leads you down to the entrance of the house wherein you could grab a seat anywhere around the veranda. You could also sit inside if you wish but we recommend alfresco dining.

The restaurant can accommodate 4050 people and has distinct sections in and around the premises for tandoori food, chaat and momos. Guests can directly head to the respective section.

What you get Delhi Chilli is the place to be if you wish to gorge on tasty street food of Delhi. The restaurant is known for its sumptuous North Indian fare and desserts. A variety of snacks like samosas, chaat, pav bhaji etc are served here.

North Eastern dumplings called momos are exciting additions to the menu. These are currently a hot favorite amongst most of the patrons. You can choose from vegetarian or chicken momos and get them steamed or fried. While the steamed ones are healthier, the fried ones are tantalizing if not for the oil oozing out with almost every bite.

The pani puri or gol gappas is yet another must try. The crunchy puris cracked on the top are served with two small plastic containers containing the mint and coriander water concoction along with sweet and sour tamarind chutney. You can enjoy the luxury of having this plate of pani puri within the beautiful surroundings of the restaurant for around Rs.10. Other exciting dishes to try out here include the Chicken tandoori and Chicken tikka.

If you crave Indian desserts, try the kulfi served here. It comes branded as Ice Age introduced by the co-owner of Delhi Chilli, Roland Rodrigues. The kulfi is available in milk-based varieties as well as in fruit flavors like chickoo and mango. The chocolate flavored kulfi and the falooda kulfi in particular, are to die for.

Our verdict We loved our experience here at Delhi Chilli. The food is great with a special mention to the irresistible desserts. The ambience is interesting as because of its basement level existence, you can get an elevated view of cars and bikes zooming by. Service provided is exceptional. The washrooms are maintained very well for the kind of area the restaurant is situated in. Parking space is available.

What you pay for a meal for two Rs.100 (Snacks) and Rs. 250 (Meal)
