Summers in Calgary are especialy gorgeous. The residents of Calgary have a grand tradition of enjoying the glorious summer weather by hitting the road and doing some RVing. Listed here are all the prime RV sites around Calgary, with location and contact info.

Calaway RV Park & Campground

This one boasts 104 Sites, 56 of which are fully-serviced and 48 that are power-only sites. Services include PWS, P, N and 15 or 30 amp power. For those busy summer weekends there's also Twenty overflow sites available. Although, it's in pretty close proximity to the city, it's got a great Country/Prairie setting. Longer term campers should enjoy the coin laundry. It also features a shuttle service to the Stampede Grounds during the Calgary Stampede, and new washroom facilities. Open from the middle of May to the start of September.

Ghost Lake Campground

Unfortunately, this one's too far out from the city to make in onto my map. The Ghost Lake Campground is easily one of the most popular campgrounds in the region. It has 120 tenting and RV sites, but tends to fill up pretty quick most summer weekends. It doesn't have much in the way of facilities, there are only 25 sites equipped with power, however each site has its own fire pit and picnic table. Reservations are not accepted, so you definitely have to arrive early for the weekend. For all you boaters out there, a boat marina is also onsite.

Country Lane RV Park

This is a gated, landscaped RV park on the trout filled Sheep River w/clubhouse, lounges, library, pool & card tables, TV, fireplaces, gym, showers & bathrooms, laundry, satellite & WiFi. It is definitely one of the hardest RV parks to find, it actually took me about 45 minutes to find it on this map since it doesn't actually show up on Google. With all this privacy, I don't know too much about it but I do know that titled lots are available for purchase.

Calgary West Campground

If you're looking for an easy getaway, then this place is for you. The Calgary West Campground is located just to the west of Canada Olympic Park, and is still within the city limits. Rolling terraced grounds with city views and full power hookups, as well as being the only campground in the Calgary area with a swimming pool, makes this an ideal place for tourists to camp out while staying in.

Mountainview Camping Calgary

Moving a bit further afield, we come to the Mountainview Campground. This place is located about 3km from Calgary, and has a fair amount of facilities going for it. These include live music, propane, internet access, sheltered picnic areas, groceries, showers, and a children's playground along with mini golf, volleyball, badminton, basketball, and horseshoes.
