Celebrity Dentistry Profile - Ben Affleck

One of the first things celebrities used to do when they made the move to Hollywood was to get dental improvements. Back in the Golden Age, dental improvements consisted of teeth capping, a process that is still done today to fix broken or chipped teeth. Teeth alignment through braces were rare and if you look at some old movies, you wills see that many celebrities had less than perfect teeth. This is not the case today when it appears that every celebrity has had some type of cosmetic dentistry done and has a million dollar smile. Ben Affleck is one of those stars.

Most stars will deny that they have had any work done, as is their right. Cosmetic dentistry falls under medical care and, like all medical care, is private. Ben Affleck has a perfect set of teeth that leads to speculation that he has had cosmetic dentistry such as teeth whitening or teeth capping. Ben Affleck, who does not come from a poor family, most certainly wore braces on his teeth to get the perfect smile. It is more likely that he got teeth whitening, a procedure in which the teeth are brightened, than had teeth implants or teeth capping. It is not unusual for anyone in the United States to wear braces. Braces that are used to straighten teeth are a form of cosmetic dentistry. It is also not exclusive to the stars that people get dental improvements such as teeth whitening.

Some celebrities get teeth pulled or even implanted so that they alter their smile. This is more unusual and is usually done to change the structure and appearance of the teeth. These dental improvements are performed by a plastic surgery dentist and are not the norm for every day people. Celebrities such as Ben Affleck are under a great deal of pressure to look perfect so they can get plum roles in movies. Getting cosmetic dentistry is not unusual for celebrities who need to be in a position where they always look their best. New cosmetic surgery realigns the mouth and gives a fuller appearance to teeth. Dental improvements such as teeth whitening, teeth capping or even alignment with braces are not exclusive to celebrities and are procedures offered by dentists and orthodontists all over the United States.
