Groundhog Day lends itself to fun games for a Groundhog day party. When searching for just the right Groundhog Day party supplies and invitations, be sure that the games are included for a fun day.

Make Your Own Silhouettes. The groundhog emerges from its hole to determine whether or not winter will continue for six more weeks by seeing its shadow. In a fun game, have party guests create their very own shadow silhouettes by sitting in a chair with a large piece of paper on the wall. Shine a light on the party guests and a shadow will be created on the wall. Another party guests traces the outline of the party guests sitting in the chair. Color the silhouettes with bright colors with decorative elements such as glitter bows, and other arts & crafts materials.

Groundhog Puzzles. Groundhog Puzzles are a fun game for party guest of all ages. Use ready-made groundhog puzzles or create one using groundhog images. Just take a picture of photo of a groundhog and cut it up in puzzle pieces touse for your puzzle. Mix the various images in a pile on the party table. The object of the game is to match the puzzle pieces and form the images.

Find The Groundhog. Groundhogs can be rather elusive so it is up to the job of the party guests to try as many groundhogs as possible. Pictures of groundhogs or a variation of stuffed animals or craft-made groundhogs will work nicely for this game.

Toss The Groundhog Bean Bag. Cut several holes in a piece of cardboard, plywood, or a piece of wood. Similar to basketball, when holes are cut out of the board, the bean bags can be tossed in from a distance away. Top hats are commonly worn at the Groundhog day ceremony, therefore, placing several top hats on the floor and tossing brown bean bags at the hats is an easy substitute.

Bust The Balloon. It's time to find that sneaky groundhog again! Place a small piece of paper with an image of a groundhog on it. The winner of this game is the one who pops the balloon with the picture of the groundhog inside. Place a couple dozen balloons on the floor and let the party guests have at it.
