Cbt Training: The New Way To Train

Depending on how old you are, you may not remember a time when you had to travel to be trained or learn something new. 20 years ago if people needed to learn something new they would either have to travel to a site to learn it or read it from a book. Today you can get a different kind of training that will come to you through your computer. You get all of the same information you would have gotten if you were face to face with another individual, you just get it in a more convenient format. CBT training is the way that more and more corporations and education systems are going.

Who is using CBT? Corporations both large and small are using computer based training. The reason for this is that it is more cost effective. Instead of sending 15 employees on a trip across the country, they can host a web seminar or have the necessary information put on a CD to be used as needed.

Schools are also using CBT. Depending on the topic at hand there may be online lectures, a list of assignments, online tests, videos, and anything else the professor deems necessary. This is a great way to allow students to work at their own pace, or at least on their own time to compete the necessary education. More and more classes are offered partly online or 100% online, so that you may never actually see the professor who is teaching the course!

Why are schools and corporations using CBT? Its much more cost effective for corporations because they are able to train their people on site instead of sending them across the country for a seminar for which they have to pay air fare, lodging, and even meals. Keep them at home and teach them via the computer instead! Even the cost of implementing the computer based training will be cheaper than paying to send people to a training course.

In addition, CBT training is also a more effective use of time. Instead of worrying about how much time it takes to travel to a site you only need to worry about how long the course or training will last. There is no travel time, you simply log on and the training begins. Schools can actually stand to make more money when you consider that people dont have to travel to get educated. This will allow people who couldnt get to a local college to pay for and attend classes online.

As you can see, computer training whether it is online or through a computer training CD simply makes more sense all around. Corporations and schools are using this method of training more and more and it has worked with an astounding rate of success. Computer based training has been so successful that it will only become more common in the future.
