Causes Of Being Tired

By:

Who hasn't felt tired ever in his life? It's pretty sure that almost all people in the world have felt the unwanted sluggish feeling at least once in their entire lives. Even the medical society has acknowledged tiredness as something so common in people. In fact, there's a popular acronym for it, TATT, which simply means "tired all the time."

When trying to figure out the cause of your tiredness, there are three things that you should ask yourself. Is my work and family responsibilities take up so much of my energy? Have I been in a tough situation or have I had a tough experience that made me mentally stressed and physically constrained recently? Am I living a well-balanced lifestyle? If you answer these questions honestly, you will have a clear idea why you are feeling so tired all the time. To help you more, let us discuss the general causes of being tired.

Physical. There are many physical causes of being tired. For instance, if you are working too hard, you will mostly likely feel tired easily. Your body, just like a machine, needs to recharge to retain its energy. Simple relaxation and good sleep can help your body be recharged. Other physical causes include your body's weight. It is best to maintain a normal BMI. If you are overweight, you body will have to use much energy when you move. On the other hand, when you are underweight, you have less strength and therefore, the body will also use much energy when you work physically. In addition, health conditions like anemia and diabetes are also other physical factors that can cause being tired. According to statistics, women feel more often tired than men. One reason for these is pregnancy. When a woman is pregnant, she becomes heavier and the body needs to work more in supplying necessary nutrients to the mother and the child in the womb.

Psychological. Did you know that most complaints about tiredness come from psychological causes than physical ones? A lot of people feel stressed because of various problems and challenges they encounter in life. This stress often leads to anxiety. When a person has too much anxiety, it can easily lead to insomnia or not being able to sleep well at night. You know what happens when you don't sleep well, right? Your body cannot get enough rest and it will result to accumulated fatigue. Sleep matters a lot so it is best if you clear your mind from any anxiety when trying to get a good sleep. Don't think too much. Always remember that it is easier to think clearly when you let your body and mind rest.

No matter how common tiredness is, it should never be ignored. In fact, it is advisable to consult with a physician when you start experiencing constant feeling of being tired. There may not be anything serious going on but having a doctor say everything about your health is fine is pretty assuring and relieving in itself, isn't it?
