Catch The Charlie Sheen Meltdown On Satellite Tv!

By:

One of the biggest stories in entertainment lately has been the antics of actor Charlie Sheen. His program Two and a Half Men was recently canceled due to the star's bizarre behavior on and off screen. Does his behavior represent only the behavior of a celebrity out of control, or does it say something larger about our culture? You can watch all the coverage with a comprehensive satellite TV package.

Charlie Sheen was born Carlos Estevez and is the brother of actor Emilio Estevez and the son of actor Martin Sheen. Since the 1980s, Charlie Sheen has been active in numerous movies and television shows, including most recently, Two and a Half Men, which ran for approximately seven years. Charlie Sheen is no stranger to controversy though. He has been in and out of rehab for at least twenty years. An old fiancee, actress and model Kelly Preston, left him after Sheen accidentally shot her in the arm. He was fingered as one of Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss's clients, and former wife Denise Richards alleged during a custody battle with Sheen that he abused drugs constantly and had a violent temper. Sheen is now in the process of getting a divorce from his third wife, after pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault after an alleged domestic violence incident. Sheen now purports to be dating a pornographic actress, along with another woman, simultaneously.

While in the past, Charlie Sheen has tried to stay in the public's good graces by apologizing and begging forgiveness for his past misdeeds, something seems to have changed. This time, he is making no apologies for his behavior. It seems he has decided he has enough money to live on without the need for any of his previous personal or professional connections. The Guardian newspaper in the United Kingdom has even gone so far as to run a quiz asking readers to compare Sheen's recent statements with those of Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

Sheen has given a number of controversial interviews recently, with the first one really bringing his condition to the public's attention occurring on February 25. In this interview, he alleged that he could cure alcoholism with his mind, compared himself to a fighter jet, and made anti-Semitic comments about the creator of Two and a Half Men, which was ultimately what seems to have got him fired. In subsequent interviews, he has described himself as a rock star from Mars and a Vatican assassin warlock, has apparently admitted missing rehearsals of Two and a Half Men due to drug parties, and has expressed interest in marrying both of his current girlfriends simultaneously. This is quite a departure from the sitcom past you can catch on satellite TV. One popular theory to explain Sheen's behavior is that in the age of HD reality television, people are making millions of dollars by being as obnoxious as possible. Sheen, who already has millions of dollars, appears to be realizing in this day and age there is no reason for him to even pretend to be the wholesome person many people thought he once was.
