This quote is almost a decade and it does apply everyday. More and more companies down to the smallest enterprise are definitely using the Internet. The Internet has come a long way, if before the websites look dull and plain, now almost everything is dynamic. I admit I am an Internet junkie. I surf til I drop. I can find almost anything on the web: if I need to hear a song, I just download it or listen to an audio-stream than go to a music store; if I need to read a book, I just go online to read e-books instead of going to the library or buy one at the bookstore; if I need to watch a movie, believe me or not, I can watch it with speeding buffer; if I need to order food, I just go the website of my liking and voila!, my order is delivered to my home; do I have the need to talk to someone I know in Zimbabwe no need to buy an airline ticket (though you can reserve online), e-mailing is just one click.

If there is one industry that benefits the most at the world of interactivity, the business sector is definitely the one profiting the most. The Internet has created gazillion reasons for companies to set-up an online identity.

The world is at your fingertips -- , whoever said it, he is absolutely right.

And speaking of fingertips, if I wanted to buy a little black dress but does not have the time to go to the mall, I just buy it online. Today, there are many online sites where you can purchase goods without going to the mall and effort your time.

No one knows which is the first online shopping catalog website is, but I know two favored sites by people around the globe: Amazon and Ebay. Of the two, the former was created earlier circa 1994, while Ebay by 1995.

Both Internet shopping catalog website promotes online shopping with the biggest selection of books, magazines, music, DVD, videos, electronics, computers, software, apparel and accessories, shoes, jewelries, tools and hardware, housewares, furniture, sporting goods, beauty and personal care products, collectibles, gadgetries, and more of it are available.

The advantage of both or any online shopping website is convenience. The dis- of it is shipping cost. If you live in the USA, less cost will be applied to your shipping.

So, why do online sales climb? More and more people favor shopping online. They are convenient. I can attest, they are very much convenient.

The benefits of online shopping includes or may include the full information of the product the features, specifications, the prize, product reviews from fellow online buyer; the wide selection of products; lower prices compared to one at the shopping center; and it saves time especially if you are busy.

In every yin, there is yang. You may find disadvantages to shopping online like you cannot personally sense the product, shipping costs are expensive, customer service is satisfactory, product returns are difficult, and orders may take several days to be delivered. But all of these depend on circumstances. Like in my case, I live in America, the cost of shipping is lesser than if you live in the farthest place of America, the delivery may be overnight or usually specified by the website that it would take 1-7 working days, and I enjoy the low expense I pay for my goods.

Even if people detract online shopping, I will still take advantage of the products I can drag my mouse into.
