WoW T12 Armor Sets
Adventurers will soon brave the searing heat of Firelands in patch 4.2 and emerge with powerful new treasures. Today we present you with an early look at the tier 12 armor sets.
Wow Tier 11 armor set
\This latest build included new Tier 11 armor set models for Mage, Priest and Shaman, adding to the already discovered Warrior, Druid, Rogue and Warlock armor sets. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be new armor models for Hunter, Death Knight or Paladin just yet, but you can be sure that when they're in the files, they'll be on the site. I know we all can't wait to make fun of the latest Paladin frocks, right? I've included all of the current Tier 11 armor sets in this post, and you can be sure that they'll be added to our Cataclysm Guide shortly.
Identity crisis and elemental shaman patch 4.2
Patch 4.2 changes for Shamans in general look to be an overall buff and for the first time a a while Elemental shamans will be receiving the biggest buff for both PvP and PvE.
In the main part Thunderstorm now has a slowing effect on all effected targets, this is going to have forums screaming elemental shamans are over powered across the PvP board. No real surprise. I only hope that Blizzard doesnt fold to the pressure and end up nerfing Thunderstorm by the time this goes live.
What really make the changes game changing will be the addition of a new Lighting bolt Prime glyph allowing Lighting Bolt to be cast while moving. This alone will be a massive dps boost in PvE due to the sometimes excessive movement requirements of encounters. As for PvP this will add a new level of diversity, though linking this in with static totem placement could be interesting.
This isn't the first time that the identity of the shaman class identity of the shaman class has had to shift. I don't have a problem with elemental shaman veering from turret to mobile caster, but I do wonder where the spec is going to end up.
I completely understood the method in taking away unique buffs and disconnecting spec/class identity from specific, powerful abilities, but how much is the spec able to bend and still retain the iconic notes that are the gameplay equivalent of the recognizable silhouette? If turret play is truly a hallmark of the elemental shaman (
elemental shaman patch 4.2 ) , due to the innate tethering of plonking down totems, then what defines the class when the invisible tether is cut? A particular flavor of cooldown management, spiced with lava and lightening? The remains of our glorious totems in the shape of Fire Elemental Totem and Searing Totem, or the remnants of our time as a true hybrid class? Although the days of getting a spot only for the Bloodlust are behind us, we're still damn useful in so many ways, due to a great variety of utility spells.
