Casual And American Ruby Tuesday

By:

What you see - Warm lighting from colorful Tiffany lamps and sports memorabilia adorning the walls infuse a happy atmosphere at Ruby Tuesday, located at Inorbit Mall, Mumbai. Tables are placed with ample space between them, so that you can easily hold private conversations. Theres a salad bar that offers plenty of vegetables, fruits and dressings for the health conscious. The servers are dressed in bright red and green. Mostly, not very loud retro pop and rock music plays in the background.

What you get - The menu at Ruby Tuesday restobar is American with a touch of Indian. Burgers, pasta, soups, sandwiches, assorted platters and Indian favorites like Pav Bhaji and kebab platter vie for attention. The bar is well stocked and serves margaritas, martinis, beer, shooters and different domestic and international liquors. The happy hours from Monday to Friday (4 PM till 8 PM) offer buy one get one free on all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages except Bacardi breezers, imported liquor and imported shooters. Try the Bacardi Mojito and Strawberry Martini or Strawberry lemonade (non alcoholic) which is well made and breezy.

In food, we tried the Wing Sampler, which has chicken wings prepared in three types of sauces and is served with blue cheese dip. Chicken Fresco, grilled chicken breast served with lemon butter sauce was well made and is quite popular. It comes recommended. In vegetarian, we tried Mini Burgers, but found them to be average. The highlight, however, was New Orleans seafood. With grilled fish and shrimps topped with parmesan cream sauce and served with side vegetables, it is a delight. The signature dessert of New York cheese cake comes with a distinct taste of Philadelphia cream and double chocolate cake. It was sinful.

Our verdict - Ruby Tuesday is no doubt an expensive place but a must visit for its cheery ambience and good food. The portions are good and can be split two ways. Vegetarians have very limited choices. The Make-your-own-salad is a good option for a light lunch. The bar offers interesting and different cocktails. Ruby Tuesday is open throughout the day, so you can enjoy a drink with friends or a loved one in any of the branches in Mumbai. No prior bookings are necessary, but the place does get crowded during sports events. Mall parking facilities are available.
