Casino Cheating and Super Powers, Which Are Best

By: Sharon Gerad

X Ray Vision:
The ability to see thru other objects would be a great help in casino games such as poker, blackjack, and baccarat. You would be able to know what every other player had in their hands and what the next cards to be dealt were. So you could know when you should fold and when you should raise the bet in poker. You would know when to bet on the house and when to bet on the player in baccarat and when to hit when playing Blackjack. This ability would not really help much for roulette or craps.

Transparency:
The ability to turn invisible would be a nice power for a spy or an extortionist, but not really that good for gambling. You would have to work as a team with someone. They could place bets at a roulette table and you could move the bet to the winning number, but you would have to be slick about it. If you bumped into someone they would want to know what touched them, and if suddenly someone sees a stack of chips moving they are going to wonder why.

Super Stretch:
This is like the guy from the fantastic 4 he could make his hand go under the table and up the far side and he could more the ball on the roulette table or move the bets around, but that's about all he could do and realistically someone is bound to see is rubbery arm doing all of this.

Super Strength:
This would be a great superpower if you were going to rob the casino. you could walk right in rip the doors of to the vaults and just grab the money and walk out, without anyone being able to stop you. But this would not be a very good power for cheating in the casino.

Manipulate Fire:
This would not be a good power for casino gambling. There is lots of wood in a casino and a small fire could quickly become a big hotel fire trapping and killing thousands.

Speaking to Animals:
This would be really cool if you were trapped in the woods or if you fell off a boat or from an airplane, but unless you are playing poker and there is an aquarium or some caged animal behind the other players I really do not see the advantage.

Kinesis:
If I could pick any power at all I would want to be able to move small and large objects with my mind. This would allow me to cheat at craps and roulette by manipulating the outcome of the game without anyone seeing.

ESP
This would be almost as good as having X Ray Vision without being able to see lots of boobies. You would know what the other players had in their hand and how they were going to bet, but you would not know what cards are going to be dealt next.

Changer the Weather:
This would be one of the worst things to have in a casino. What are you going to do make it rain?

Ice Breath:
The ability to freeze everyone in the casino again is another talent more practical for a thief then just a casino cheat. This would be a great skill if you were throwing a party. You could keep the keg super cold, but do not see it working in the casino.

Power of Suggestion:
I don't care what super power you have this is the best one you could have for cheating in an online casino. With this power you don't have to have a good hand or have to move the dice or roulette ball. You just have to make everyone think you won and take your winnings. You could be playing poker and have a 2,3,6,9 and a jack in your hand and tell everyone it is a royal flush and they would think it was the truth.

What is the point of having a super power if you can not use it to get stupid rich in a casino?
