Care For Four Abundant Paintball Playing Talents?

By:

Forming a Paintball Team

One of the most annoying parts of playing a team sport is that you have to have enough people in order to play. Paintball works best with a minimum of four people for individual games and six for team games. One way to make sure you have enough people to play is to plan the game early. Try to alert people to the game a week or two ahead of time, and then call as a reminder a few days before the game. This might seem like a lot of work for a simple paintball game, but you be well rewarded when you bring multiple friends into this exciting sport. Once you have several interested, committed players, it will be easy to set up a regular schedule for games.

Paintball and Pain

A major detriment to the popularity of paintball is the idea that it is a painful sport. Realistically, it is a game of shooting at each other, and it definitely is possible to get an occasional bruise. Most bruises that are caused by paintballs are from shots taken from a close distance. In contrast, games where players are spread out sufficiently usually mean that no one will experience injuries. Also, if you are wearing appropriate protective gear, paintball shots should have little effect on you other than to splatter you with paint. So if you have put off playing paintball because of the fear of pain, simply dress well for the occasion and go out and enjoy yourself.

Finding Friends for Paintball Games

Paintball is very much a multiplayer sport. As much fun it is to have target practice and go out to shoot paintballs by yourself, it is much better to play with more than one person. Unfortunately, it can be tough to find an adequate number of willing players, due to the time and expense that the sport of paintball requires. One method for creating a group of paintball enthusiasts is to start small. For example, there are many similarities between laser tag and paintball, but laser tag is often cheaper and almost always takes less time. Start by inviting some people to a laser tag game. Another idea is to try to find a shop that will rent paintball gear. This lets your friends see how great paintball can be without having to buy all the equipment first. As you start out, make sure teaching others skills and having fun are your priorities, rather than winning the game. If their first experience is a massacre, it is unlikely they will want to come back, but if you slowly introduce them to the sport and skills of paintball, they'll be begging you to return again and again.

Forming a Paintball Friend Base

Though some paintball activities are fun as an individual, the real thrills from the sport come from playing with other people. However, finding a group of people who are willing to dedicate time and money to playing paintball can sometimes be hard. One tip for recruiting other players is to start small. Sometimes it can be easier to recruit for a 30 minute laser tag game than it is to recruit a three-hour paintball event. Renting paintball equipment is another way to help introduce friends to the sport. This lets your friends see how great paintball can be without having to buy all the equipment first. As you play, make sure everyone is learning what to do and focus less on winning than having a good time. Giving your friends these initial fun experiences will interest them in progressing in the game; whereas if all your friends experience is being blown out of the water with a shutout, they will be unlikely to want to try the next time.
