Freedom and flexibility with a car rental. Be independent and carefree in the summer and hire a car. Thanks to the good roads in Spain, you can while you travel with a rental car across the province of Malaga, fully concentrate on the beauty of the landscape.
The Costa del Sol is a beach paradise with a total of 161 km coastline. Here you can find quite a few attractive beaches. The offer is very large, ranging from very popular tourist hot spots with an excellent infrastructure to more quiet or semi wild beaches. With a car hire, you can route some of most attractive maritime spots along the Costa del Sol and see for yourself.
Due to its warm climate all year round, the Costa del Sol is since many years a mayor international tourist destination, offering not only a great beach infrastructure, golf and night life, but also beautiful landscapes between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea waiting to be discovered.
Starting our trip on the western Costa del Sol, we find the Playa de Sabinillas in Manilva, a beach with a total length of 1.700 metres and many beach bars and leisure activities available.
In Estepona is situated the Bahia Dorada, a 700 metres long beach with beach bars and a camping site.
In Marbella we can find in Cabo Pino the Playa de Artola, a nudist beach with golden sand surrounded by vegetation and situated in a protected area.
In Mijas is situated the Playa de Calahonda, a 4.400 metres long beach with dark sand and cobbles and close by vegetation. This beach is great for walking in the early morning hours or at dawn.
In the area of Malaga is situated the emblematic coastal landscape of Pen del Cuervo, featuring its characteristic rock and the 400 metres long beach of la Araa with golden sand.
A little further east, close to Velez Malaga, is situated in a natural setting the nearly 3 kilometers long beach Playa de Almayate. This beach receives fewer visitors and is a good spot for relaxing and enjoying great sunsets.
Just a bit further, and always on the road N-340, is located the beach Playa de Algarrobo. This beach situated next to an urbanized area has a high occupancy and is very suitable for practicing nautical sports.
Close by is situated as well the beach Playa de Wilches in Torrox. This one is as well a tranquil beach with little occupancy.
Nerja is as well a quieter spot, as happens in general with nearly all the resorts on the eastern Costa del Sol. Nerja has a charming and picturesque environment with a more familiar atmosphere and small coves, offering nevertheless a good tourist infrastructure.
Close to the province of Granada is situated the small village of Maro. Here the terrain gets rugged with cliffs due to the proximity of high mountains. Here we find a more serene atmosphere and a special charm due to its more secluded situation, as we cannot access the beach with the car.
Each of these beaches is instantly accessible by car and some of them, however, are impossible to reach otherwise, since there is no public transport.
