The best climate for these prints is 60 to 70 degrees, in both the summer and winter months. More extreme highs and lows can compromise ink and canvas quality. Move your canvas prints to a cooler place in your house if they will regularly be exposed to higher than recommended temperatures. Consider your basement or another room of your house far away from the kitchen.

Exposure to light is one of the most common factors resulting in damage to canvas prints. Even short term exposure can cause the vibrant inks to fade, greatly reducing the quality of your prints. Another thing to think about is your print's frame. You will want to make sure you employ a professional framer. Never frame a print yourself or have a non-professional do it, because it is very easy to damage the canvas. In addition, you will want to make sure your framer uses glass which provides some protection from the sun's rays.

If your print needs cleaning or repairs, never do it yourself since this is the most common way to damage a print. Cleaning and repairs need to be done by professional art restorers, who have the knowledge and the right tools for the job.
