If you want to lose 40 pounds in a month you need to give yourself more time in which to be able to do so. 1.Go on a detox diet. This type of diet helps purge your body of the bulk of undigested calories. It is not recommended that you stay on this kind of diet for any length of time and you have to ensure that you do not have any health problems before you take this step.

The most basic detox diet consists of fasting for three days and drinking only water. Then for the next ten days you should eat only fruit for your meals.

After the thirteen days are up, you can then gradually ease back into eating regular food, but it has to be a low calorie diet if you really want to lose 40 pounds in 30 days!

The problems with going on a detox diet of this nature means that you will essentially be starving your body. When this happens you will be excreting waste from your body and this will make you weigh less, but the body will go into starvation mode.

It will sense that it has to take drastic steps to preserve the body and for this reason, your metabolism will all but shut down as the body tries to save what calories and fat it has remaining.

Since you are not giving your body any of the nutrients it needs to function properly, you will become very weak.

2.Another way in which it could be possible to lose 40 lbs in a month is to use a calorie counter and work out a meal plan. You will have to make sure that you eat a set amount of calories per day so that you do give your body the nutrients it needs.

At the same time, you must exercise and workout at a frantic pace to burn calories at the rate required for losing 40 pounds a month!
