There are certain kinds of people such as those marines and astronauts and army men who have popularized the notion that humans can survive on beef jerky solely. But you should not forget that these people undergo rigorous tests to survive on whatever they have available. Their bodies are conditioned to subsist on one kind of food. And, anyway, when they get their chance, they eat wholesome meals. They may also supplement themselves with multivitamins to get complete nourishment.

The demands of our body can be met only when it gets its proper ration of nutrients. No one should attempt to live on only one kind of food, even if that food is the epitome of a particular kind of nutrient. Your body needs an assortment of different kinds of nutrients which no single food in the world can give.

In conclusion, no one can subsist on simply beef jerky, but that doesn't mean that this isn't a great food in itself. It has high nutrition content and you must certainly include it in your daily meals. This tasty and nutritious food is what makes a good diet in any case!
