With so many new products coming out, literally, every day, knowing what items can truly affect one's performance is becoming a daunting task. From vitamins to therapeutic wraps to hi-tech rubber shoes, the choices one needs to make seems endless. Case in point, there is a new kind of clothing that promises to keep one's body warm and ready to perform even during winter. The question, however, is can the Heated Base Layer really improve performance? Here are the facts.

1. Body Temperature can be easily controlled with The Heated Base Layer. Unlike conventional base layers, jackets and other types of performance wear, the heated base layer can generate its own heat and won't simply rely on residual body heat to keep one's body warm. With the use of specially designed heating elements, strategically placed on the back, warmth is generated all throughout the body so one can regulate body temperature before and after a sports activity. Although one can still use the heated base layer without the batteries, the heating components will only function when it is connected to a power source. Based on field tests, a battery can last up to 4 hours. Carrying additional batteries will ensure that the heated base layer will continuously function all throughout playing time.
