The international airport of Samui is known as the Koh Samui, it represents by itself a private airport on the Koh Samui Island in Thailand. Koh Samui airport - it is a private airport, that was built by an air company Bangkok Airways, that was and still remains the main and only air company that organizes international flights to Koh Samui. Nowadays the airport works also with Thai Airways International. From the airport go 27 flights in Bangkok, and 23 of which are daily. There are some other flights that are possible to the other Thai islands also.

This airport is very unusual and differes from the other because it does not have a covered space or a roof. The Koh Samui airport is situated in the northern part of the island and the building started in 1982 and officially the airport was opened in the April of 1989. Samui Airport started to make flights twice a day between Bangkok and Samui. All many tourists could stop there if they in the capital or just flew through Samui to some other European countries. Daily flights started in 2008 with the first used plane Boeing 737-400, that could held 150 people.

Koh Samui Airport is a unique and a wonderful building,it represents a kind cultural and natural environment in the tropical resort of the island in the true sense of this word.While flight you will be able to see far away and nearest islands, see beautiful coasts and seasides, enjoy the views of the jungles and mountains, and just to get acquainted with the local ships that are located in the calm sea.

The coasts and seasides of Samui are fascinating and amaze by the beauty of blue crystal water and lots of lagoons, by deep coral reefs, rich flora, long and widely stretched white sandy beaches. All this you can enjoy and have a view at just by cheap flying on the plane and looking down. The view will never leave you indifferent moreover after you get out of the plane, you will enjoy and see it close and alive.

There are many beautiful airports all over the world but the airport of Koh Samui Island is situated in the most picturesque and exotic places all over the world, it has been crowned the most beautiful and the best airport represented in harmony with a gorgeous wild nature and the environment.It goes without saying that Samui airport has his own individual, attractive and laid-back charm.

You can feel at once that the airport was constructed, decorated and made with a real love to this place. Everything here is full of love, bright colours and life, you will notice lots of small shops and wonderful cafes that will meet and greet you gladly, childrens play areas and live music around.

So if once you are in Samui airport or just flighting through you never feel indifferent to this place. You will be served in a high-class and moreover you will be just fascinated by the beauty, charm and cosiness of this place. It looks very different from many other airports, that is why it is so unusual. At once you arrive and get out of the plane you start feeling like you are already in a paradise.
