Much like the original Droid and Droid 2, the Droid 3 features a slide-out, five-row QWERTY keyboard but boasts a larger and better 4-inch qHD (960x540) touch screen. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread-based smartphone also packs a dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory, and an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture. There is also a front-facing camera (though resolution was not specified at the time of this writing) for video calls, and the handset comes preloaded with Skype mobile.
With incredible dual-core speed and brilliant qHD display, you're making a big Android smartphone statement. But how can I convert 1080P Blu-ray/DVD movies and transfer them to your Droid 3? In this this guide, we show you what software you need to rip and convert Blu-ray/DVD movies for viewing on the DROID 3, and we also show you how to get your newly converted videos onto your handset.
Step 1. Free download and install this Blu-ray Ripper
Click "BD/DVD ROM or BD/DVD Folder" to load Blu-ray/DVD disc or Blu-ray/DVD folder files. It will decrypt the Blu-ray DVD disc automatically when loading disc.
Step 2. Set output audio/video format for Droid 3
Click the pull down menu at the opposite side of "Format", then follow "Common video" >> "H.264 video" for Droid 3. You can still choose "subtitles" and "language" for targert file through "Subtitle" option above "Format".
Step 3: Adjust video and audio parameters
To get 1080P quality Mp4 for Droid 3, you are allowed to click "Settings" button to optimized the output file quality by adjusting video and audio parameters. The codec, aspect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, and audio channel are all adjustable in the following interface.
Step 4. Start to convert Blu-ray/DVD
When the above mentioned steps are done, you can click "Convert" button to start converting Blu-ray movies for Droid 3. A command line/DOS window will open and start to process the video conversion.
Step 5. copy Blu-ray DVD movies on to your DROID 3
Once the conversion is done, mount your DROID 3 on to your computer via USB (figure 4)
Once mounted, create a folder named Video in the root folder on the DROID 3
Copy converted file into the Video folder
That's it! The converted video can now be played on your DROID 3 using the Gallery app. It should look fantastic on the DROID 3's screen as long as the original source was of good quality.
A few things to keep in mind when converting video:
1. The DROID 3 does not like video file sizes over 2GB (the settings in Step II should help insure that the file size is kept under 2GB)
2. Your converted video will only be as good as the source video
