If you think money and love are two things that should stay separate, you are not being practical. Money makes its need felt even in the midst of the celebration of love. If a wedding can be called a celebration of love then money is right there from buying the ring to treating the guests. Add the word wedding while you are shopping and you will find the prices rising up by 30-50% immediately on any item.

The fact is, over 2.3 million couples were married in the United States last year alone. The average cost of a wedding including dress, ring, reception, limo, treating 200 guests and the whole shebang stands at $17,000. Hmm, quite a sum for the newlyweds who are normally young. The fact that weddings are beginning to be increasingly costly affairs, with couples and their parents intending to outdo others by thinking of new ways of getting wed and spending lavishly on designer weddings. Even if you decide not to spend in excess and have the largest and fanciest wedding in town, you can still spend quite a considerable amount of money when everything is complete.

A beautiful wedding does not have to be a costly wedding. A well-planned wedding with minimum spending, that is properly financed is a happy wedding. Plan your wedding according to your budget. Involve your parents and ask them to contribute to your wedding expenses. Also, decide with how much you can chip in. The bride's parents, the groom's parents, and the couple-to-be should all have open discussions about their capability to contribute to the wedding.

After pooling in resources from all these sources if you still run short of funds, then considering financing your wedding is not a bad idea if the amount involved is small. It is an occasion worth celebrating and remembering, however, it should be realistic and within your means to repay the amount owed for loans within a year or two.

However, getting your wedding financed should be dealt with much caution. If you must borrow to pay for your wedding, to so in moderation. Because you do not want to end up arguing about money matters soon after the wedding ceremonies are over. It does not make sense to have a flashy wedding if you cannot afford it. So financing for your wedding should be kept at the minimum possible and the ways you are going to repay it should be clearly chalked out. According to how soon you wish to start a family, you may soon learn that expenses for maintaining a family home and other expenses may get you in trouble financially if you are still paying off a loan for your wedding. Therefore, keep all of these types of things on your mind before you search for a loan for your wedding.

Most credit card companies offer credit for wedding expenses. Private financiers too are willing to finance your wedding. Just remember, stay within your budget, and keep the cost to a minimum. That way you will have a perfect wedding and a happy married life.
