Depression is one of the most severe conditions for gaining weight. People that suffer from depression experience weight gain. Sudden change in weight can be a sign of depression, as well as a side effect of other medicines. Alot of people experience certain changes in their body weight. With not knowing the details of a diet, and your medical history, it is hard to decide exactly what the effects cortical levels have on your body. Cortical is the hormone produced by the body regulating your blood pressure and metabolism rate. It also plays the role in your stress response, and is known as a stress hormone. When a person feels stress, the body is in a state of aggression.

Serotonin is a chemical released in from the brain element which makes us joyful or happy. Some carbohydrates help to make serotonin and may be why we sometimes like to eat these foods. So if you experience depression, do not pursue a controlled or low-carb diet plan. Good carbohydrates are foods like oats, whole wheat bread, pasta, or wholegrain rice, and beans. A little amount of selenium is also helpful in treating depression. Selenium can be obtained by eating foods such as total wheat bread, bran , tuna, onions, tomatoes and broccoli. Try to eat some of these on a regular basis, because it is very beneficial. People should include the right amount of salads and vegetables in any diet plan. They should also eat fish twice a week in their meals, with a good diet plan. These foods also contain fatty acids and antioxidants which are helpful in protecting your brain cells from getting into depression and also aging.

There are several programs out there that helps you lose weight that one has gained because of depression. These programs not only make the individual lose weight but also provide support for the depression. With the right daily routine you can keep stable metabolism rates and blood-sugar levels, which will improve your mood, and should help improve some of the symptoms that of depression. Exercise has many advantages for treating mild to moderate depression. If you can not exercise at least one hour a day than try to exercise about ten to fifteen minutes a day. Just a quick walk, bike ride, or swim are a good way to start. This information should help a little with your depression, and gaining weight. Always see you family doctor first before you start any diet plan.
