Cambridgeshire New Homes Developer Launches Local Photo Competition

By:

Housebuilder Linden Homes is launching a photographic competition at two of its developments of new homes in Cambridgeshire, to find the best photos of the local area around the schemes. There are cash prizes for the best three at each of the sites, along with the prestige of having a selection of the best photographs displayed in the Linden Homes sales and marketing suites.

The competition is being held at Yes!, the company's development in St Ives, and Drover's Mead, its scheme of luxury new homes in Castor, outside Peterborough. The aim is to display some contemporary images of each location, which are sure to appeal to anyone hoping to find a property in a rural location in this lovely county.

"We believe this will be an excellent way of not only engaging with the local community - who have been extremely supportive of our presence so far - but will produce some fabulous images which we may even be able to us as part of our promotion of St Ives and Castor as fantastic places to live," says Linden Homes sales and marketing director Steve Garton.

The top cash prize is £250, with two runners-up awards of £150. The deadline for the competition is 15th July 2011 and entrants should send a maximum of three JPEG images to either stives-photos@mediamatters-pr.co.uk or castorphotos@mediamatters-pr.co.uk.

Cambridgeshire has only recently fared extremely well in a national poll by Halifax to determine the best rural areas for quality of life in the UK, based on factors including employment, education, health, crime and pollution. These two developments by Linden Homes offer a wide variety of home styles to suit a range of budgets and requirements.

At Drover's Mead, there's a range of detached four- and five-bedroom luxury family homes on offer, each individually designed, with prices currently between £520,000 and £575,000. Castor is a village with history stretching back as far as the Romans, now a thriving and pleasant residential hotspot within four miles of the centre of Peterborough. From there, it's just 45 minutes into London on the East Coast Main Line.

Yes! will comprise houses and apartments with two to five bedrooms. The current phase of three- and four-bedroom homes starts at just £204,995. St Ives was once one of the most important market towns in the country and remains one of this agricultural region's most notable commercial centres. It is located just a few miles from Huntingdon and Cambridge, the A1 and M11.
