We met Tim, the man behind Cambridge Chilli Farm, at the Chilli Fiesta in West Dean last year. We had previously received some samples of his products and absolutely loved them.



We were therefore keen to get his range of chilli goodies, not only because of the actual quality, integrity and variety of his produce but also because of Tim himself. Not only is he a very nice down-to-earth guy but he is also absolutely mad about chillies! His knowledge of plants in general and chillies in particular puts us to shame and he is always here to help us out when we’re stumped with our own crop.



Our favourite hot sauce from Cambridge Chilli Farm is probably Ghost Pepper “10”. It’s pretty darn hot for an all natural hot sauce! If you don’t like the peculiar taste of extract but are keen to get on another level of hotness than this is the sauce for you. Cambridge Chilli Farm uses ten Naga Morich peppers per bottle, hence the name.  These have been blended with amongst other things, roasted tomatoes & garlic to create a sauce with not only a lot of heat but an incredible depth of flavour too.



Cambridge Chilli Farm Naga Napalm Hot Sauce is definitely worthy of its scorching name. It is yet another great all-natural hot sauce from Cambridge Chilli Farm and one of their bestsellers.  The three Naga Morich peppers per bottle add a lot of heat and a distinctive citrus flavour to the sauce, which should be used either as a food additive to spice up dishes, or as a table sauce if you like things really hot!



We love Cambridge Chilli Farm Smoky Chipotle Hot Sauce because it has the distinct flavour of chipotles of course but also because it is reminiscent of a good barbecue sauce thanks to a clever blend of spices. The consistency is just right for pouring and smothering chicken or fish which makes it a very practical (and tasty!) everyday hot sauce.



A great hot sauce to use as condiment is Cambridge Chilli Farm Sweet Chilli Sauce. Sweet Chilli Sauces are often a bit of a hit and miss. Cambridge Chilli Farm manages to create a heavenly tasting sweet chilli sauce with the distinctive fruity flavour and heat of Scotch Bonnets.  Explore the delights of exotic cuisine with this finger-licking sauce that we use mixed in with mayonnaise (weird I know but ssooo tasty!), as a dip for fried food, a base to Chinese noodles and as a glaze on fish before steaming or grilling. The world truly is your oyster with this one!



The aspect of Cambridge Chilli Farm Pineapple & Habanero Hot Sauce is its first winning attribute. Shreds of Habanero and crushed black pepper adorn the golden nectar, leaving you guessing as to its flavour and heat. It won’t be long before your tastebuds are in a trance. The balance between the pineapple and habanero chilli pepper is just right and the hint of cider vinegar prevents too much sweetness. We love it on pizza, as a zesty change to Chinese noodles and even rice. It also works wonders as a dip mixed with mayonnaise or natural yogurt.
