Cairo Sightseeing Day By Plane

Pick up early morning from your hotel in Dahab, drive to Sharm El Sheikh Airport to get your flight to Cairo, the day starts with visiting the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the pharaonic period. The Museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. Then followed by felucca trip on the Nile River (optional, but worth taking a relaxing one-hour trip on a traditional Egyptian sailing boat "Felucca"). This will give you a unique opportunity to view Cairo in a different light. After that time to fresh up and have lunch. Afternoon visit to Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza . Built 4600 years ago Khufu, the successor of Sneferu, was known as a tyrant and in his arrogance he decided to have a tomb built that was bigger and better than all others. The three Pyramids were built by: Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafra) & Mycrenios (Menkaura). The Great Pyramid was built by King Cheops (IV Dynasty). King Chefren, the son of Cheops built the second Pyramid and the third Pyramid was built in the reign of Menkaura, the son of Chefren. The mysterious Sphinx, with its mask of Chephren and body of a Lion, stands close by as a guard of the land of pharaohs. The Sphinx and the three Pyramids were considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Continue to Khan el Khalili bazaar, you'll enjoy free time to stroll through the maze of streets and bargain for a souvenir of your trip. You will also have the chance to visit a Papyrus Institute to see how the famous artwork is made before flying back to Sharm el Sheikh.then transfer to your hotel in Dahab.
