You also can feel secure in knowing that you wont get stuck on the side of the road somewhere in the middle of the night because of engine troubles. For many wheelchair van buyers, this peace of mind is worth the price.

This brings us to the only negative thing about a new wheelchair van: price. Its going to be more expensive, not only in the initial cost, but insurance costs as well. Only you know your budget and can justify this price, but it will be a much more costly investment, there is no getting around that.

For many wheelchair van buyers, used is not a choice; its their only option if they want to own a van. The biggest advantage to buying a used vehicle is the cost. You will pay significantly less money that you will for new.

Now this does not mean that you will be getting something unsafe. Many used vehicles are tested, and if you buy one that is only a few years old you can get something that is almost like new but for a significant savings. For many people there is simply no other way. You will likely have to make some sacrifices such as certain features or the color of the vehicle, but this may not be that important when it comes to how much money you will save. Only you can make this choice, so make the right one.
