The range of cars on offer means it will be easy for you to find a used Hyundai car to suit the needs of you and your family.
In the small car segment there is the Getz, which was first produced in 2002 and the i10 that began production in 2007. Both cars are ideal for someone who does a lot of urban driving. Depending on the engine size, the i10 records an urban fuel consumption of between 41.5 and 56.5 mpg and a combined figure of between 51.4 and 67.3 mpg. These figures make the car very economical, which is a big consideration when someone is looking to buy a car today. Like all Hyundai used cars under five-years old, if you buy an i10 that has a full Hyundai service record, the remainder of the five-year warranty will transfer to you and help to give you peace of mind.
If you have a young family you might plump for the Hyundai i20 or i30. The i20 is a three or five-door supermini with engines that range from a 1.2 petrol through to a 1.6 diesel. Depending on the model it will be fitted with either a five or six-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic unit. You can choose from a hatchback or estate version of the i30. The engines ranges from the 1.4 to 2.0 litre petrol or 1.6 and 2.0 litre diesel units.
If you have a larger family there is the Sonata. There have been a number of cars to bear the name since it was first introduced in 1985. The most recent version comes with either manual or automatic gearboxes. Engine sizes start with a 2.0 litre diesel, while the petrol unit comes in 2.4 and 3.3 litre configurations.
An alternative to the Sonata is the Tucson or the more recent ix35. The Tucson was first introduced in 2004 and there are both front-wheel and four-wheel drive cars available. There are three engine options and three different gearboxes. The ix35 has recently replaced the Tucson in the Hyundai range. The new car benefits from two extra engine choices and updated bodywork that was penned at the Hyundai design studio in Germany.
Other possible models include the five or seven seat Santa Fe 4x4 and the Hyundai Coup for anyone looking for a more sporting drive.
