Busy Moms: Check Out These 6 Time Saving Tips

If you're a busy mother, you know how precious your time is. With work, household chores, shopping, cleaning - not to mention soccer practice and PTA - there just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done. But there are some ways to make things simpler and save you time.

1. A real time saving hint is to make a monthly menu. You can plan different meals in advance, and even plan meals to use up leftovers from the previous meals. With a full month's menu planned out, you can reuse it each month, and that will save you from the time and stress of having to figure out what to cook each night.

2. Now that you have your monthly menu, use it to make your weekly shopping list! Make a pre-printed shopping list, and keep it hanging in the kitchen. When you get low on something, note it on the list. This will save you time in the grocery store and prevent having to run out to the convenience store to pick up things you've forgotten.

3. Pay bills online. It's so much faster to do, and there's no worry about running out of stamps or last minute trips to the post office.

4. Line baking pans and toaster oven trays with aluminum foil before use. The time you can save while cleaning up is unbelievable. You can even use the foil for storage of the leftovers - just fold it up over the top and stick it in the fridge.

5. Are your mornings hectic? Get as much ready as you can the night before: Set out clothes for work or school, prepare school lunches, plug in your cell phone to charge.

6. Dutch ovens and slow cookers are your friends! Save time while serving hearty and healthy meals that practically cook themselves. Pot roasts, casseroles and roast chicken are super easy to throw together and toss in the oven, and everything is ready in one dish.
