The business suit for a woman is actually quite different from that of a man, and basically comprises of a jacket, along with matching pants, or a pastel colour Skirt, and a blouse. Many of the business firms actually prefer woman who were dressed in a very formal code, and that would mean that they give preference to skirts rather than pants.

A skirt exudes professionalism in case of a woman, and up and is known to be more business-like, if you happen to be in a law firm.
Also, they should be minimal amount of it detailing on the shirt as well as on the Skirt, because detailing is frowned upon on a business firm. They should be very sober, and should be representing the mood and the professionalism that is associated with that industry. Business suit should actually help enhance the feeling of camaraderie in a business firm, wherein, there is no discrimination among men and women, and they all get to where the same clothing, of the same fabric, irrespective of their standing in society.
