Business Or Leisure? Bucharest Is The Place

By:

Located in the southeast part of Romania Bucharest is the largest city in the country and for the recent economic boom it is regarded as a center financial point in the whole Eastern Europe. It is home to the 6th largest urban population in Europe according to official statistics which makes it rich in culture and resources. The fact that Romania joined the European Union in 2007 only increased its popularity and now it is, particularly Bucharest, an easily accessible tourist destination as well as it is lucrative for business travel and investment.

Ever since the very first records of Bucharest dating back to 1459, the city has been going through constant changes, ups and downs, which all led to its current state. It is interesting to mention the period between the First and the Second World Wars as it has won Bucharests nickname The Paris of the East. It became known as such because of the aristocrats that managed to build a reputation of the city based on sophisticated and simple yet very high profile and rather stylish architecture. There is even an Arcul de Triumf (Triumphal Arch) built in Bucharest that looks almost identical to the more popular one in Paris.

As the capital is the business hub of Romania and one of the financial arteries in Eastern Europe, Bucharest was flexible enough to accommodate its facilities for different purposes. A Bucharest hotel, the Parliament hotel, is one that was able to provide corporate travel packages that fit the necessities of a business trip. The Parliament Hotel is rather small but is an example of what business looks like in a developed economy presented with glass exterior.
There are also many Bucharest hotels, some chains even, like Marriott and Continental, that suit all travelers.

Whatever the purpose of your trip, there is only one place to be at night. The Old Town. Currently undergoing restorations, it is so agile that can provide everything- fine dining, exclusive clubs, small and private cafes as well as more traditional forms of entertainment such as theatre. It is very eccentric idea which seems to have worked out very well that one of the most visited must go to clubs in Bucharest Old Town is located on the rooftop of the National Theatre. Also, if you are looking to have some serious fun and crazy night out, the cluster of venues is mostly spread through the center of the city. However, The Old Town is a recommended.
