It is hard to remember sometimes that there are other search engines besides Google. When you talk to any experts on search engine ranking they always refer to Google to give examples and assistance. There are others out there though. Google is only one of the many out there. It is a big one to be sure, but there are some others that you can work on appealing to and getting your rank up with.

No matter what business you are in if you can get your website to rank high on any search engine, you will be bringing in some major traffic and building business. It does not require a first page ranking on Google to get your business where you want to be and there are many tools that can help you get a good ranking on any search engine.

Another one to try and get hooked up with is Bing. It is not even close to as massive as Google. It has been becoming more popular as time goes on. And more people are starting to use it instead of Yahoo. Because it is a reputable search engine that is backed by what is known to be a decent company it is a good one to try and use to go higher on the ranking. There are rules to what you can do or not on Bing, and those are important to check out.

If you want to impress Bing and increase your link building than you should definitely consider that Bing frowns upon the following: Use of hidden links. Those links that can not be seen by the human eye are not permitted on Bing. Increasing the number of links too quickly. If you take an already existing page and throw a bunch of inbound links into it, you will find that is a big red flag in the Bing system.

Bing does not like it when you have links that don't go with your website or are from unreliable sources. It has to be linked to related content. If you link up to blog comments you will not be doing anything to improve your rank with that. Also you really don't want to have links that go to spam sites. That is prohibited totally. They don't want you using paid links either, actually that is something that is not approved of across the board for any of the big search engines.
