Building Muscle - A No Nonsense Approach

Building Muscle - A No Nonsense Approach

By:

How do you grow muscle? In the simplest terms to grow muscle it has to be put under stress...but the right kind of stress. Stress is what breaks down the muscle fibers and prompts the body to repair the breaks by creating more muscle. Here are 8 principles of building muscle that will allow you to add lean muscle mass to your body;

1) The stress must be specific - if you wish to reach your training objectives you must train specific to your goals

2) The stress must be above your threshold - the stress must be heavy enough to exceed the normal threshold of the muscles

3) The stress must be with heavy weights - heavy weights call on every fiber of muscle that you have - by using all your muscle's capacity

4) The stress must be with high reps - the additional reps will force your muscle tissue to adapt that much more than with just low reps

5) The stress must be progressive overload - Your muscles will only signal the need for more muscle if they are scared or frightened into preventing a previous nightmare

6) The stress must be intense - you must exert "100% of momentary effort."

7) You must recover from the stress - staying out of the gym and recovering will put far more muscle on you than any amount of money spent on supplements and a 'training like the pros' way of thinking

8) The stress must be short and infrequent - training to often will sabotage your success

If you use these principles along with a proper diet you will be able to add the muscle mass that you want to your body and no longer be afraid of wind storms.

While these ideas were put together for the person that has a hard time growing muscle, they are based on sound principles that will work for everyone who wishes to have an easier time building muscle and adding lean muscle mass to their body.
