Build Your Online Business - Delegate Tasks And Activities Other Than Content Creation And Marketing

By:

Are you working 'on' your business or 'in' your business? That's the question you want to ask yourself as you build your online business and prepare to take it to the next level. In the beginning you will do every part of your business yourself, from setting up your own web pages and blog to answering customer service questions. Over time it will make sense to take on others to help you. I went through several people before finding the ones that were right for me.

Take a look at the tasks and activities that are taking up too much of your time and find someone to help you with it. Include this as a cost of doing business. If it isn't related to content creation or marketing, someone else is more qualified to do it.

With that said, let's talk about content creation. I believe you must do this all yourself, or with a partner, if you have one. You never want someone else to write for you or to create your products. This is the part of the business that is uniquely yours. Having someone to edit or transcribe makes sense, but everything you offer for sale must come from your original ideas. I've seen too many people get off track in this area and ruin their business before it gets off the ground.

Marketing must be at least sixty percent of what you do each day in your business. You may have others who will help in this area, but only you know what the vision and the mission are for what you are working to accomplish. Learn as much as you can, and then make a schedule of what actions you will take to keep your marketing going 24/7. This is where you will increase your income, so be willing to dig in and roll up your sleeves to do what is necessary.

What you spend time setting up now will serve you for years to come. Build a team of dedicated and qualified people to help you with the things you should not be doing, such as clerical and technical tasks and activities. Get help with customer service so that you do not have to deal with that part of your business. Find a bookkeeper who will keep track of your finances and record keeping. Spend your time thinking of new ideas, creating new content, products and courses, and marketing your business to the level of success you want to achieve.
