Buenos Aires : Radiohead Live At Quilmes Rock, 24 March 2009

If all this sounds exaggerated, go to a Radiohead concert. One of the next chances to see them alive is on the 24th of March in Buenos Aires (book now your trip, there are few tickets left), at the Quilmes Rock, a festival that every year hosts the performances of both Argentine and international bands (this edition will hosts also Iron Maiden and the Kiss, who will play on the 28th of March and on the 5th of April respectively). This years bang will be Radiohead, who have chosen to stop in Buenos Aires (with Kraftwerk, their support band) for their first tour in South America. After having gone on tour in Europe, United States, Canada and even Japan to present their new album In Rainbows, Thom Yorke and the others are now ready to invade South America with their personal lading of songs and emotions, and to amaze and enchant the public of this part of the world too. Radioheads live performances, indeed, do have the power to hypnotize the audience, which becomes an integral feature of each show.

There might be bands who play well and who know how to involve people, but nobody like Radiohead can create that atmosphere of participation and veneration that makes you feel part of the stage, of the band, of the arena, of the rest of the audience, and that makes you act in a ritual, unconscious but natural way during the performance: from the jumps during My Iron Lung to the religious silence (imagine an arena, a stadium, a square overcrowded with people gathering for a rock concert, in which nobody, apart the singer in a small voice, utters a word or dares to sing ) that always accompanies the performance of Exit Music, until the final explosion in which all people sings along with Thom Yorke the line that describes a Radioheads concert in the best way: And now we are one in everlasting peace. Each moment of a concert of this band is to be framed and kept in ones heart, both if it is the performance of a very famous song from Ok Computer or The Bends, and if it is a song from the new record In Rainbows. Most probably in this concert an important role will be played by the new album, as has happened in other tour dates, by songs that have already become part of the bands history, like All I need, Jigsaw falling into place, Nude, and that, played alive, multiply their emotional charge to the nth power.
There are different kinds of concerts. There are concerts, like the one in Buenos Aires, that become a unique and unrepeatable experience for each music lover.

Do not miss the first tour in South America of one of the most important bands in the world. Book a cheap hostel in Buenos Aires and get ready to be overwhelmed by the power of this bands music and of Thom Yorkes voice.
