Bryan Adams Is Touring Australia In September

Adams' fourth album, 1984's "Reckless," cemented his status as a worldwide rock star, as the album went number 1 in Canada and U.S. and number 2 in Australia. Subsequent albums - "Into the Fire," "Waking up the Neighbours," and "18 Til I Die" - shooting to the top of the Australian charts at number 14, number 1, and number 2 respectively. His 1993 greatest hits compilation album - "So Far So Good" - also reached number 1 on the Australian charts.

Over his three decades in the music industry, Adams has been nominated for and won numerous awards, including 20 Juno Awards and one Grammy. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2006. In 2010, he was honoured with the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at the 2010 Juno Awards for his charitable work and humanitarian efforts.

Adams has a reputation for putting on one of the best live concerts. He puts his heart and soul into his performances night after night, and fans feel like their tickets are money well spent. Adams' 2011 tour to Australia will not disappoint. This tour is in support of his 2010 live album, "Bare Bones," and fans can expect and intimate, acoustic atmosphere. Adams has been playing "Bare Bones" shows around the world and has been playing all his classic hits solo on acoustic guitar, sometimes accompanied by a band mate on piano.

During the two-hour set, fans can expect to hear a lot of Adams' chart-toppers from the 1980s and 1990s, like "Run to You," "Straight From the Heart," "Summer of '69," "Heaven," "(Everything I Do) I Do it for You," "Please Forgive Me," and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman." Fans have said there is nothing left out at any of Adams' "Bare Bones" performances. Fans can also expect some lesser-known songs to be played, as well as newer singles like 2008's "I Thought I'd Seen Everything" and 2010's "One World, One Flame," which charted in Australia to number 40 and number 70 respectively.

Fans have said these "Bare Bones" acoustic performances have felt intimate, like Adams is playing in a backyard with a few friends. Adams tells stories about his songs and interacts with the audience and makes fans feel like they are a part of the experience.

The "Bare Bones" tour through Australia begins in Melbourne on September 15, with a second night in Melbourne on September 16. Three nights in Sydney follow September 17 through 19, and then Adams will play two nights in Brisbane on September 20 and 21. Adams completes the tour with a final performance on September 22 at New Castle's Civic Theatre.
