Brow Lifts Help Aging Men Look Younger

By:

While sad, but undeniably true, ageism is very much alive and well in the modern workplace. Younger, healthier looking employees often move up through the ranks with ease while their older and often more experienced counterparts find themselves stuck in middling positions for years.

With the recent downturn in the economy, and the influx of so many workers seeking new employment, a career that was once not going anywhere is now even ceasing to exist in the first place. Many are out of work for the first time in decades. Some haven't even interviewed for a position since their early twenties and are now facing potential recruiters without the comfort of another job to fall back on.

And not only are they competing against a growing number of qualified candidates, but they are competing against a growing number of younger candidates. Many once confident employees are feeling anxious about their abilities and drained over the potential loss of not being hired.

This is both demoralizing and defeating. But it doesn't have to signal the end of a once illustrious career. Brow lifts are a solution to looking younger. They can really help a man look the way he feels inside and convey that feeling to others.

While it's impossible to completely stop all signs of aging, there are ways to appear younger. Brow lifts can help reduce the signs of aging without completely changing how one looks.

Among other benefits, they can help to move the level of the eyebrow line and can tighten and remove excess skin from the forehead. They will help to give the forehead a smoother appearance. There are traditionally three types of surgeries. If someone suggests a fourth type, it's highly recommended that you seek further medical advice.

Coronal forehead lifts involve making a cut across the forehead, through which the surgeon can shift and manipulate the muscles. Afterwards, one to two inches is removed, and then the forehead is sewn back into place. While more popular amongst women, due their naturally lower hairlines, they are still useful on a high percentage of men.

As for the reasons mentioned above, it's not a very good choice for males who are bald or in process of going bald. This procedure does have the longest lasting effects of the three. One potential downside is the numbness that can occur up six months following the procedure.

Endoscopic forehead lifts involve a series of small incisions cut just behind the hairline that allow a small camera to be used to alter the area. This allows for a less comprehensive procedure, but does result in less scarring. In some instances very tiny screws are used to hold everything in place. Like with the coronal procedure, the hairline will be lifted.

Subcutaneous forehead lifts are similar in procedure to the coronal operation, but allow the hairline to stay where it originally was. Unfortunately this operation leaves a rather visible scar but it can be easily concealed with the proper hair style. So maybe one might be right for you. It could be the thing to restart your career and allow you start feeling good about yourself again.
