Brisbane-the Amazing Australian City That Is Growing By Leaps And Bounds

Touted as Australia's third largest city Brisbane is the capital of the Queensland and this region is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia. Many wonder what the attraction is to this city over the others and perhaps the answer lies in the way in which the city has been designed around the lifestyle of the people that live here.

There are great contradictions between the old and new here that is very attractive. The busy city has tall shiny skyscrapers right near to old and beautiful sandstone buildings that are rich in historical significance. There is the attraction of the river that runs through the city and all of the trees that flourish here too. There is an incredible number of parks as well as bustling offices.

The wonderful weather and incredible surroundings lend themselves to making Brisbane the perfect tourist location as the outlying areas such as the Gold Coast and Tropical North Queensland are also growing in popularity as well. Many people come to Brisbane and then travel outside of the city to take in some of these other incredible areas.

Brisbane is a melting pot of cultures and this adds a unique flavor the music, artwork, and foods of the region. It also makes it a wonderful area for tourists from all over the world to visit because they feel at home no matter where they come from and the Aussie culture is extremely laid back and all in the region greet tourists with open arms. It is a friendly, laid back region in which just about everyone feels at home. The South Bank Parklands region is a beautiful region and offers a beach, some small local shops, gardens, and lagoons. Many love this local retreat as it provides you with the natural surroundings you may need to unwind a bit from the heart of the city.

There is never a bad time of year to visit Brisbane and this is another factor that makes it one of the best holiday destinations. The most popular months for tourists visiting Brisbane are the months of June, July, and August. Although, this is winter time in Brisbane it is a pleasant and wonderful time in the Queensland. Easter and Christmas time are also relatively hectic in Brisbane. For those who are looking to see the city during it's down time it is best to choose the months of May or October. During these months the tourist flow is down and the weather is still nice which allows for a slightly slower paced holiday. No matter when you visit you won't be disappointed.
