Brief Lg 500g

Ive been testing my LG 500g for about 2 weeks now, so Im pretty sure that Ive extracted enough info to make an actual review this time. First and foremost, the LG 500g is actually prepaid carrier TracFones first (hopefully not the last) QWERTY keyboard mobile device.

According to the letter g placed at the end of the models name, the LG 500g will be running on the GSM network. On the positive side, it has outstanding signal reception and the voice quality is impressive, despite it lacking 3G.

Personally, I find the phone to be built slim and have a good solid feel to it, measuring only 4.58 x 2.35 x 0.51 inches all around and weighing in at only 2.93 oz. Based on my personal experience, this phone slides in and out of my pocket easily, thanks to the well-rounded corners. On the contrary, theres also a tendency for it to slip out of your hand as well (based on personal experience).

One function that Im actually pleased about this phone is the MP3 player. Sound quality is loud and clear (especially with my stereo headphones plugged in), despite the fact that this unit is quite small. Moreover, if youre the person who likes listening to music, storing songs wouldnt be a problem as the 500g can hold as much as 4GB of microSD.

As for the rest of the features Ive enjoyed about this phone, its all pretty standard, like the 1.3megapixel camera. The mediocre video recording quality is compensated by the decent pictures its able to take.

The biggest issue I had with this phone was the browser button, which acts as the back and exit button - this here has been bothersome as I accidentally pressed it on an occasional basis, connecting me to the internet, and wasting money.

Another thing that bothered me was the screen turning invisible when exposed under direct sunlight. And so the only logical solution I could come up with would be to stay out of the sun when operating the LG 500g.
