May has finally arrived, along with the last few moments of spring and the preparation of the summer season. Many are familiar associating summer with the beach, hot days in the bright scorching sun, and many other novelties. But what some may not be aware of is that with the arrival of summer, also begins the beginning of the most popular season for weddings. This may come as no surprise being that its the season of love. In addition, a popular trend is an outdoor ceremony or reception, and what better environment and temperature that those during the summer season.

Part of the fun of wedding season is that many individuals can participate, whether itd be as a guest, a member of the bridal part, or to be the lucky couple about to be wed. By receiving the honor of being part of the bridal party, these important individuals are fortunate to take part in one of the most important and memorable days for the bride and groom.

But some may not enjoy partaking in the event in such a manner and perhaps would prefer being a guest rather than a member of the bridal party. Reasons for this vary among the different individuals. Many are familiar with the term, Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. This plays off the notion that some individuals may be somewhat jealous of the bride for having found someone special enough to marry. B being a member of the bridal party it is sense it may be seen as pouring salt in the wounds. The individuals whom are not married nor engaged, wearing the bridesmaids dresses standing at the altar along with the bride and groom are reminded that they have yet to be able to reach that phase of their life.

In addition to this, some bridesmaids have the unfortunate luck of having to deal with a bridezilla. For those who are unaware, this term was coined for the brides who have gone out of control, and are very demanding on her path of achieving the most perfect wedding. Because some experience this unfortunate scenario, many will rather not participate in the wedding. As seen on the television show, perfectly titled, Bridezillas, many bridesmaids end up quitting before the arrival of the big day due to the irrational behavior of the bride. Thus, they prefer to leave the couple high and dry on the important day rather than dealing with the bride.

Overall, what these two scenarios have in common is that the members o f the bridal party are focusing on themselves rather than on the two people that the event is centered around. Thus, it should come as common sense that when the invitation is given to become a member of the bridal party, one should recognize the fact that until the big day has arrived, one should be able and willing to be their own feelings aside, and focus on the bride and groom to be.
