Breville Bje200xl - What You Need To Know About This Juicer

By:

One of the best decisions you could ever make for having a healthier lifestyle is to get your very own juicer (like the Breville BJE200XL). Sodas, artificially-flavored juices, smoothies, and sugary drinks are very detrimental to our health, but even when we are determined to consume only nourishing food, drinking only water or unsweetened natural tea can become boring after a while, tempting us to try one more milkshake or soda. Thus, a great and tasty weapon we can add to our wellness arsenal is natural juices. Not the ones that come in a box or bottle and are filled with sugar and chemicals, but the ones that you make at home by squeezing the fresh juice out of your favorite fruits.

There are a couple of problems though. Making juice the traditional way (like using a blender) can be not only very time consuming but downright inefficient! First you have to take out the blender, fill it with water, cut your fruit into small pieces, and then put them in the blender and turn it on. After this process you should be able to drink your juice, but what if you dont want any of the pulp? Well, then you have to put a sieve on a jug and filter all the pulp from the mixture. And you know what happens next. You desperately squish the pulp in the sieve trying to squeeze from it the most juice you can, which is usually very little. No matter how hard you squish, the pulp will still be moist, taking with it a good portion of the juice you wanted to have.

So, how can you have juice everyday...

- Without having to use a blender?
- Without wasting so much juice from taking away the pulp?
- And without having to squeeze fruit manually?

A juicer is the answer. Most juicers are designed so that you can place whole fruits and vegetables through it and extract their juices while leaving their dry pulp behind. One of the best juicers out there is the Breville BJE200XL.

So, what makes this juicer different than the others? Well, first we have its power vs. size aspect. Although the Breville BJE200XL 700-watt motor operates at 14,000 RPM, it has a size of 9-1/2 by 8-3/4 by 16 inches, which makes it a very compact but still a very powerful juicer. On most occasions you can extract juice 10 times faster than with other similar juicers. Also, its centered knife blade assembly cuts through many kinds of fruit (even pineapple), and its stainless-steel micro-mesh filter guarantees that most of the juice of every fruit and vegetable that you put in it is extracted. Most juicers leave a lot of juice in the pulp once they are used, but this one leaves the pulp almost bone dry!

Also, cleaning most juicers is a nightmare, but the Breville BJE200XL juice fountain was designed with that concern in mind. The device comes with a special brush that you can use to clean the screen mesh, which saves a lot of time and frustration. Also, because of its special design, you can easily remove its pieces and wash them either by hand or in the dishwasher.

A couple of downsides to the Breville BJE200XL are that it is a bit loud, and that its spout doesnt match perfectly with the pitch of the 8-ounce juice container, which usually causes spilling around the container. This can be easily fixed by placing a cloth under the container, or a big dish under it to catch any spilled juice. Also, although the 3-inch centered feed tube is supposed to be extra-wide, sometimes you will have to cut your fruit in halves in order to fit them in. Finally, if you put small fruits through the tube, like strawberries or small lemons, it is better to put your hand on the tube in order to cover it and avoid upward spilling.

About the Author:
In short, the Breville BJE200XL is a very awesome juicer and has very positive reviews overall. So, if you want to start eating healthier and have a tasty cup of your favorite juices whenever you feel like it, without having to suffer most juicer-related nightmares, then the Breville BJE200XL is for you!
