It is the same important to the athletes, to both the blue collars and white collars. Fruit and cereal provide a continuous release of energy and eating them regularly improves concentration and mental functioning. Besides, vitamins, minerals and calcium are essential for growing bodies. A breakfast rich in nourishment is a good habit to get into at an early age.
Nowadays, the government has been striving to improve the quality of breakfast. For example, the government has invested a lot to set up companies which can provide people with healthy breakfast. The condition of some restaurants and stalls are supervised regularly. Charitable activities such as collecting money to guarantee children in deprived areas can have breakfast have been launched. Pubic advertisements about the importance of breakfast have been put on the media to warn people of the negative effects of the bad habit of giving up breakfast everyday. Some schools say that pupils settle into the day, work more diligently and learn much better if they have proper breakfast: something nourishing to eat and drink. Teachers try to persuade the parents that their children really are more focused in class and that concentration levels have improved.
Actually, to nourish the pupils good habit of having healthy breakfast has another profound meaning. Habit has a power to last for a long time and it is almost impossible to change it unless special efforts have been made. So as long as pupils have formed the good habit of having breakfast, they may hold to it during all the following years in their lives. Besides, when they have children, they will also pay more attention to developing their childrens good habit than those parents who themselves have never taken breakfast seriously. The future influence of the efforts made today is beyond estimation. Therefore, breakfast really deserves close attention from the whole society.
