2 Pass Industrial Sea Water and Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis Units for Boron Removal

Introduction
In May 2009, Pure Aqua supplied 818m3/day Industrial Sea Water and Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis Units to the Ministry of Defense in Oman for Boron Removal. The ocmplete SWRO and BWRO Units were completed with advanced PLC, colored touch panel screen, coagulation, precholorination, multi media filters, antiscalant dosing, dechlorination dosing, post chlorination, cleaning and flushing system, filter feed, calicite filter, and product pumps.

Systems and Process
SRWO Feed water to the system is from sea water, TDS of about 45,255 PPM. The SW-188K-10580 Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Unit was selcted from our SWI Series. Pre-treatment of raw water includes filter feed pumps, variable frequency drive and all necessary equipment to run the system smoothly.

The Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Unit consists of (10) FRP Codeline pressure vessels, (5) 8" TFC spiral wound membranes, FilmTec SW 30HRLE-400 5 mircron sediment prefilter. In addition to Grundfos HP Pump and pressure exchanger system, which is manufactured from duplex SS2205 stainless steel alloy, Duplex 2205 High pressure piping powder coated frame skid. BWRO Feed water to the system is processed water with raw water TDS about 184 PPM. The system design was based on high rejection TFC spiral wound low fouling membranes.

The Industrial Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis Unit was selcted from our RO-500 Series; model number TW-130K-4580. It produces 546/m3/day @ TDS
