Boom Time For Suffolk Hotels

By:

We may still be suffering the effects of the credit crunch but Suffolk Hotels are gearing up for a bumper year. As people shun expensive foreign holidays they are looking for something closer to their doorstep and this delightful country, just a couple of hours outside of London offers the perfect choice.

If we're thinking 2010 is likely to lead to a let up in the recession, we should think again. The reverse, if anything is true. Even though we expect to be officially out of recession by January, we're still in for some difficult times. The reason for this is that we're going to have to pay for the extraordinary quantitive easing measures that kept the banking industry solvent throughout last year. That's going to lead to higher taxes combined with higher utility bills, petrol and food costs. In fact, according to some research, by 2014 we're all likely to be much worse off than we are today.

So it makes sense of economise on our holidays by staying on these shores for summer. That's not as bad as it might seem. The UK has some tremendous hidden gems just waiting to be discovered and Suffolk has some of the best.

Across Suffolk Hotels are offering new ways to explore the county. Do your research and shop around to make sure you get the best deals. The choice is wonderful. You can opt for everything from a quaint family run B&B all the way to a grand country house.

The drive through Suffolk is quite wonderful in itself. To experience the best of it, get off the main routes and journey around some of the picture box villages. Unfortunately some of these have become commutor havens and so have lost a substantial part of your charm, but once you get away from the main routes you can catch a glimpse of a Britain that most thought was long gone.

Heading towards the north of the county you get towards the sprawling forrest of rendlesham. This offers some wonderful camping and is increasingly famous for its annual music festival. With that in mind, you might want to take into account the time of year when planning your visit. Suffolk Hotels can become quite crowded at certain times especially now the Latitude music festival has become an annual fixture up in Southwold. For a few days a year this sleepy part of the country becomes a mini Glastonbury as music lovers flock to the area.

So when choosing from Suffolk Hotels, do your research and work out what's on when. This county might have a reputation as a quiet part of the world, but closer inspection reveals a whole side of Suffolk few people get to see.
